I’m rather disappointed in this one! The majority of the description describes the scent of the fresh flowers, which I grow in my greenhouse and unfortunately I don’t get any of those notes in the absolute. To me it isn’t the least bit green, floral or sweet. My first impression was of something savoury and vegetal. It’s definitely lactonic and buttery but there are also sulphurous notes present and hints of nutmeg. My partner hit the nail on the head when he described it as smelling like boiled cauliflower in a buttery white sauce. An interesting material from an academic viewpoint but not one that I can see a use for at the moment!

The quality of this tuberose absolute is really good. The cost of it is super competitive as well.

I had to agree with the first review which keeps giving me giggles as well as crave said cauliflower in sauce.
But it occurred to me, to add a bit of a highly concentrated Tuberose base. Voila! I get the rich buttery and other aspects plus the sweetness and true aroma of the Tuberose, otherwise lacking in this curious abs. I’m surprisingly pleased!

Tuberose Absolute added with a little Cepes are a very powerful combination as an oriental base. It adds depth and roundness to blends. Use sparingly with light materials. Additionally, I was delighted with the price.
