Sniffapalooza Event Recap

What a hoot!  

I had an amazing time at this Wine/Candy/Fragrance “Pairing” (or more accurately “Tripling”) Event last Sunday (8/17) at Back Label Wine Merchants  in NYC.  

Karen Dubin and Karen Adams of Sniffapalooza hosted this event, assisted by Kelly Jones’ who presented her Kelly & Jones Notes of Wine Eau de Parfum Collection. Glyn and Kelly Jaime (aka The Candy Man) added delicious confections from The Sweet Shop NYC and the whole thing was just as indulgent as can be.

Fragrance – Notes of Merlot (I bought a bottle and have been wearing it every day- love LOVE LOVE!)

Wine – 2012 Tire Bouchon Bourgogne Blanc

Candy – Dark Chocolate Covered Handmade Caramel Marshmallow

Also wasn’t surprised to see the inimitable Amy Marks McGee of Trendincite LLC, who knows where to go for the BEST events in our industry.  Also finally met my LinkedIn friends Hernando Patrick Courtright and Bart Schmidt (the latter was passing out the blotters, and obviously had a big part in this presentation.)

There were also a ton of perfumers there from Symrise, IFF and Fragrance Resources, among others.

Those of you in the NYC area, take note of the next Sniffapalooza Fall Ball (October 11-12). There is more information on their website. I am sure it will be well worth the trip from Connecticut!
