There are many different quality of patchouli on the market varying in it’s density of odor, basically through adjusting patchoulol content, but this material is entirely distinct: it has the density of a real good MD, with it’s almost red berry fruitiness (this is a quality I’ve not yet seen in any online vendor) accompanied with a jasmine absolue flower jammy note. Amazing! Thank you Christine.

The most elegant of all the patchoulis, very sophisticated

This is an amazing, dream like patchouli, none of the burnt rubber going up your nose, there is no damp dirt floor of the cellar, but all the good stuff for sure! Don’t hesitate to use it. This along with the fabulous Patchoulol Crystals, Clearwood and Patchoulyl Acetate are my go to patchouli aroma chemicals.

I love me a dark patchouli and this patchouli absolute provides me with the facets that I find dark and crave from patchouli.

Beautiful, elegant. A dream material. It can stand alone in a composition, but combine it with oud things or gourmands (vanilla, coffee) and you will have the best of the best. Highly recommend.

This is IT! Very warm and rich. I’ve never been a patch fan per say, but learning a few things has helped me tolerate it much better. Since I’ve started this journey, I’ve learned to form a slight fondness of patchouli in general, especially blended with Patchoulyl Acetate. This Patchouli absolute is a big love and it’s warm ambery, very-berry scent profile will work great with sandalwood, vetiver, cedarwoods, Fougère, etc., Blends well the Ionones too. This one is just beautiful. I actually expected good, and got spectacular!!!

A total gem. Perfect for ouds or building deep, breathtaking oriental blends. It’s sweet, musky, with cashmeran-like softness and ambery warmth—seriously wow. Much darker than most patchoulis I’ve tried, with clear tobacco-like tones and a dark green foresty vibe I really enjoy.
There’s also this subtle cocoa facet—like dark chocolate or roasted coffee—that gives it a cozy, rich depth. It’s thick, enveloping, and has that “absolute” feel that screams luxury. One of those materials that makes everything smell expensive.
