    The name is somewhat misleading.
It’s obtained by partial acetylation of high quality Patchouli oil fractions.
So although this is described as synthetic, I don’t consider it as such. It’s still complex and not an isolate.

I like this one a lot. Very refined, not dirty like regular grades of patchouli oil. This is also true for Patchouli Oil MD 65% Patchoulol and related Patchouli Coeurs.
But “Patchoulyl acetate” has interesting precious-wood, almost floral aspects in addition to the powerful patchouli volume.

Why is this not more well known or used?! For anyone making a modern style fragrance who wants the luxury and sweetness of patchouli without the earthy note, this is a must have. It is very possibly the nicest patchouli related material available today. Better yet, combine it with pure patchoulol (also sold here) and invent your own “perfect” patchouli note!

Exactly what everyone else is saying, a gorgeous fruity patchouli without the musty character from full oils. I’m using an accord with Clearwood and light patchouli EO and it really is beautiful.

A must have material for all patchouli lovers. I’m positively drooling over it- but then again, patchouli does that to me. ;p

There’s a metallic freshness to this that’s just gorgeous. The difference between this and patchouli oil is nowhere near that of guaiyl acetate and guaiacwood eo, but it’s a similar difference and this is a distinct and useful material.
