Wonderful floral and fresh lactone. This is great for giving a creamy petal aspect without taking things in a coconut direction. Wonderfully soft, substantive, and diffusive. Enhances jasmine notes.

This material is extremely beautiful on its own. That said, I must confess I have yet to learn how to dose it properly – the odor intensity is up there with the powerhouse amber chems. Far from being a bad thing, this feels like one of those materials that will reward you for digging much deeper into understanding how to construct the accords you intend to use it in. If you want to get the most out of Jasmolactone and don’t already have a handle on how to dose it, expect to spend some time learning how to work with it. (On this topic, Wondaroma’s episode #9 with Kevin Verspoor and Paul Kiler provides some helpful pointers.)

This material is really something special. On it’s own it smells creamy with a hint of celery. Great diffusion, undiluted on a strip it can travel across the room. It adds a really lovely, soft but profound layer to jasmine reconstructions. It can take an “ok” basic jasmine formula and transform it. Good scents suggests a usage level of 0.1-1% concentrate and it really does take just a touch to work it’s magic.

I bought some of this several months ago and have yet to distinguish any scent at all, the blends I’ve been adding it to seem unphased as well. No peachy milkiness, no green celery notes. Nothing. Is it me or the product, I wonder.

Like a few peaches and Jasmine petals that are in warm milk. Pleasant. The nicest of lactones. Long lasting, powerful, calm, meditative, balanced. Economical to use.

My favorite lactone ingredient. Powerful and useful. It could strengthen the creamy facet for any white flower. The best thing is that you don’t need too much of it.

This is vicious, amazing lactone floral creamy note!
