Odor Description (courtesy of Paul Kiler) – I’m Crazy for Apricots! Fresh and juicy, dried, fruit leather, I love it all.
This is a pretty nice Apricot base, and it’s not a sort of adapted Peach base. It’s the best Apricot base I’ve experienced.
Apricot really does take some specialized raw materials that are different from a Peach base. I had finished this base when a brand asked me to work on an Apricot scent, then another brand asked, then one of those two asked for another…then they told me they are going to have an Apricot line… and it’s gone into two of my own PK Perfumes line too. It’s been a year for the Apricot around here.
Contains 0.36% Damascones. An Apricot type Tippy Topnote could be boosted with 2-Butanol, (with tiny dose), if you can buy it, none is included in this base. Adding 2-Butanol would be a decision for each fragrance you make, it might not fit your need every time. ~ PK
