It’s kinda like all the damascones mixed together, ….the rosy-apple alpha, the rosy-fruity delta, and the rosy-tobacco delta….but on steroids. This stuff is pretty strong.

Incredibly strong, but never overwhelming. The most natural single molecule I’ve ever smelled. It brings a natural freshness to any sketch I’ve made in very low doses. Fruity, floral, green, leafy, fresh, sharp, soft, all at once. Stunning!!

I don‘t agree: it‘s somewhat from overwhelming! You can‘t be carefully engough with it and sometimes a few promille of Lavender Oil are too much. Always when your composition is becoming too nice in a very artificial way you are through. I know that it can be sometimes dosed higher and that overdoses are trend, but that‘s bad taste in my opinion. The point is, that Damascenone, like Ethyl Maltol or the Vanilins, will make every composition „nice“ by sticking over any disaccords, not right balanced materials in it. Great in combination with green notes. In traces part of all materials derived from green plant sources…

The ‘art’ of using trace amounts will do wonders with this one.

this seems more highly regarded in industry than beta-damascone, however i still prefer the latter because it is less woody
