Dextramber (Takasago)
$10.00 – $135.00Price range: $10.00 through $135.00
aka 1-(2,2,6-trimethylcyclohexyl)hexan-3-ol
CAS 70788-30-6
Odor Description – An exceptionally powerful amber woody note similar to Norlimbanol, with a dry, clean facet and a touch of animalic warmth reminiscent of androstenol. Starting usage levels from as little as a 0.1% solution is sufficient to give diffusive top notes, while providing the heart to the middle notes without changing the true character of the fragrance.

Very similar to Norlimbanol.

Super creamy. Great for oriental creations. It could also support white flowers such as tuberose and gardenia.
Karima –
great woody amber scent.

Already made my reorder list. I’m fairly new and still finding what I like, and I definitely like this. It’s woody and musky without that cloying mildew smell some like this seem to have. Very strong and diffusive, with a nice dry down, careful with quantity as it can easily overpower, not that that’s a bad thing in this case, lol.

A beautiful quality of the commonly known Norlimbanol (also for example Karmawood), this is quite faceted. It has a sparkling, almost incense like freshness but also with the nuzzly woody quality you know of Norlimbanol. Not as dry as Norlimbanol, finer, and texturally between creamy and powdery.
