An extremely elegant and sophisticated musk, very effective at exalting compositions and florals, very diffusive, and has the broad usability of a white musk while being far more interesting and clearly a musk. Although sharing a CAS number with Applelide, the isomeric composition is different and to me it’s an entirely different product. This is now one of my very few “top shelf” musks, and I’m expecting to most likely use it in every feminine I use from now on unless there’s some unusual reason not to. I never got a “Hug me” effect from the Grojsman accord as some do, but I would want to hold or caress, so to speak, a female wearer of this musk. I really expect a skilled Perfumer could use it fine effect in an entirely masculine fragrance as well, with appropriate other notes and balances, but I have not done that as yet and so cannot comment. Very highly recommended!

Delicate, yet persistent. This is a well rounded musk that has slight sweet and pine/green facets. Its not as clean and transparent as say Galaxolide, but its also not as dark and pillowy as Exaltolide Total. Edenolide falls somewhere right in the middle of them, with a hint of sweetness.

It’s very sweet to my nose, first impressions of red fruits and candy. It’s really smooth and has a reseblance to appelide, but much better. Soft and sweet with a nice aura about it. If appelide is a green apple, this is like a red apple. But like 3x as sweet! Very nice for feminine fragrances for sure!
