Fixateur 505E is almost like cheating… the only reason it isn’t is that it’s completely solid and legitimate. While it’s best of course for one’s formulation to already be a fine perfume and then enjoy what further benefits Fixateur can provide, the material goes a long way towards transforming even single materials into nearly-a-perfume soliflores, and good formulations in progress to really nice ones.
Five ppt of a formulation cam entirely suffice. A quick demonstration of its benefits can be had simply by holding a 1% or even lower dilution against a 10% dilution of just about anything else and seeing how it improves!
It’s one of those compounds which in and of itself doesn’t have an odor of apparent particularl desirability, to me by itself it’s neither bad nor good, but which strikingly affects other things in a very positive way.
I’m extremely glad this material has become available through PSH!

LOVE this material. I’m sure its been mentioned but I will again. This calls to mind ambergris to me and I MUCH prefer it to any of the synthetic gris materials out there and behaves much the same way as the natural. Only it requires much less to get it done. Highly recommend Fixateur 505e!!

This is a fantastic material for fragrance making. It adds such a elegant smoothness to many different blends. The smell alone is somewhat intoxicating.

Fixateur 505e is an olifactory miracle. It really does improve everything that you add it to. It gives great longevity and smells very natural. Awesome stuff!

Fixateur 505E works like magic in any composition! It might not possess a desirable smell alone, however with a trace amount of it added to a blend will enhance the blend almost magically. A must have for every perfumer!

I am completely enamored with Fixateur 505E. It has the Ambroxan body that I love, PLUS a fresh, clean, detergent-y note with a little bit of fruit on top. I love it so much, whenever I test a formula with Ambroxan or Cetalox, I do a test batch with F505 just to see how it performs. It’s such a fantastic scent to me, I would wear it alone.

I actually love the smell on its own as well as in blends. Out of All of the products I’ve tried recently, I’ve found a solid top three that are “must-haves” for me, and this is one of them. I plan to splurge on a larger quantity as soon as I can, it’s fantastic.
