Courtesy of Fraterworks: “Jasmin Imperial is a French jasmine grandiflorum absolute replacer. In the words of M. De Laire, “Jasmin of Grasse is perfect” and if we may be so bold as to add, nothing but the flower itself can surpass the beauty of our Jasmin Imperial base.
Richly complex and constructed on the basis of the chemical composition of a particularly fine historic crop of genuine French jasmine absolute, Jasmin Imperial allows perfumers to return to the golden days of overdosing floral absolutes as it can be used at up to 2.5% of your finished product for IFRA 51 compliance.”

i’m super happy to see PSH carrying fraterworks. i bought this directly from fraterworks, but i’m reordering here, so i felt compelled to review this in case others were on the fence. jasmine grandiflorum is my favorite natural, but it’s highly limited by IFRA, so i wanted a base to use alongside it. they work well together, but i’ve found myself replacing the sco2 with this base in almost all of my formulas. it’s much easier to use (no separation, no off-notes) and it does a much better job of smelling like real jasmine – it’s the perfect hybrid between the richness of the sco2 and the freshness of the living plant. i have to resist putting it in everything.

I am very pleased with Jasmin Imperial. It works beautifully and is true to life. Thank you Fraterworks for producing this and PSW for carrying it!

Pretty decent base. It has a striking resemblance to Jasmophore (Firmenich), with a touch of more airy floral headspace and not so stiff/stuffy. A good vintage classic smelling jasmine absolute base.

This is truly gorgeous. To my nose it is closer to actual jasmine than the absolute is!
