Marcelo Gallegos –
A wonderfully versatile musk which adds cohesion and a certain lightness to blends. I love using this in woody blends, it gives them a sort of natural space to work in, and adds wearability by softening some of the sharper edges. Rich and sweet seem to work well to describe the scent on its own, and it plays very well with everything I’ve blended it with. I’d like to get my hands on a bit more so that I can experiment with larger doses. Would love to try blending this with other musks.
Timon –
a musk note of high quality. Somewhat sweet and clean but overall possessing a pure tonality, good diffusion and also tenacity. Certainly the biggest drawback from a commercial point of view is the rather high price compared to other musk ingredients
