I like the potential of this. On its own, you get that maple, oak vibe but it’s still smells a bit chemical. You’d have to add some davana and ethyl maltol and maybe immortelle to bring out the whiskey personality.

when i first smelled this ingredient i was very surprised. i expected a creamy lactonic mapley scent of sorts, but its a very sharp persistent nutty coconut smell. so sharp it almost seems vegetal when smelling out the bottle. when actually using the ingredient, it overpowers with coconut very easily, to the point where i considered diluting it. it works so well as a subtle backbone in gourmand fragrances though and its other notes start to shine through when paired with other notes, honey, amber, and even some fruity notes all work very well with this ingredient if its used sparingly, otherwise your fragrance will end up just smelling like coconut.
