This is a very lovely CO2 extraction! Very smooth dry wood note with an incredible sweetness. A maple brown sugar note mixed with real oak barrels. I use this in a licorice accord I’ve created and it’s the only thing that gives that true black licorice dry slightly bitter sweetness. I also use this to give depth to other woody notes it adds naturalness. This actually works very well in orientals and, gourmands. A Wonderful base note with many uses. I highly recommend this product!

Lovely material on its own but stunning in blends. Obviously useful in alcohol accords like rum and whisky, tobacco recreations and just plain old wood types. Also great in traces for adding a nice brown and bready aspect to dark fruit accords.

Pairs beautifully with real vanilla and all vanilla ACs, the usual woody materials like IES, interesting results with Kephalis as well as naturals like guaiac heart and most cedarwood variants. Sits well with Haitian or Brazilian vetiver for bringing out an earthy aspect and with cade or birch tar for something a little more smoky.

Expensive but absolutely worth it. Other CO2 oakwood extractions just don’t seem to have the same longevity or impact as this masterful material.

Even after reading the reviews prior to purchasing, I am still surprised by the sweetness of this. So nice and rich, and so many possibilities. I can see this working wonders in a woody amber fragrance to counter the more high voltage woody materials of the world.

This Oak CO2 extract is simply beautiful. It has a full, round unmistakable scent of oak with balsamic, slightly spicy, slightly vanilla, and very subtle smokey elements. It is very unique and useful. I love it!

Unbelievable. I had heard how gourmand oakwood was but I never truly believed it until I opened this bottle. I have since received other oakwood co2’s from different companies but this stuff just kicks them all out of the park. My current whiskey accord is more than 50% this stuff, and it brings me to heaven each time I take a whiff. Makes me not want to use vanilla absolute anymore haha 🙂

Very cool material. It opens with a sweetness and spice that is very reminiscent of bourbon barrels. On dry down it has a very sturdy sweet oak wood character. I’m still determining good dosing for it. It arrived fairly solid for me, but was easy enough to soften into a thick liquid with heat.

Amazing material. A tiny bit goes a long way.
