Co-distillation of olibanum resinoid with a Virginian cedarwood oil. The cedarwood oil generates some molecular reactions in order to modify the composition of the final product.

Odour: fresh and powerful fruity-olibanum top-notes with a very warm, balsamic, woody-animalic dry-down.

Note: Perfumer Supply House is strictly a reseller and not in any way an agent or distributor of Robertet materials.

Together with Bois des Landes, this is the product that gave me the first peek into the fascinating high tech naturals that Robertet offers. I’m clueless as to the chemistry level impact of co-extraction – as opposed to, say, just combining products extracted separately. I love smelling the results. The edge of Frankincense extracts can be overwhelming, hard to stomach in high amounts. The co-extraction wraps the frankincense into a powdery, warm embrace. This smells like frankincense from beginning to end, but seen through a gentler woody lens. Another must try.

A perfume on it’s own. Don’t hesitate to pick this up. Well rounded Olibanum note. Warm and inviting. You could blend this with a good musk base and have a great fragrance. Works very well with Ambrettolide and Muscenone.

A beautiful and evocative scent. There’s a faint smokiness to it, along with the warm and slightly creamy/powdery vibe that other reviewers have mentioned. It’s frankincense in the more incense way, rather than the smell of the EO. No pine or sharp medicinal notes — just soft, smoky, resinous incense. A wonderful product, for a reasonable price.

Robertet at its best. Would love to know the precise chemical changes which occur (and to which compounds) in this co-extraction because they’re wonderful. I’ve tried this in several woody-musky accords, where it adds depth and nuance without the churchy vibe. The most interesting thus far has been in an accord with oak CO2, vanilla absolute and sweet Thai oud, where it exalts the sweetness of the oud and oak while at the same time extending the bottom oud notes which can often be shallow in even the best Thais.

An amazing product I agree with everyone I just wish it had more punch for when making edt’s and extracts.

This is one of the best Frankincense essential oils i have ever smelled. It is smooth, sweet, smoky and comforting. When using it in your formula it is very long lasting without being overwhelming. It is the smell of a temple that brings you serenity upon entering. It is a perfume on itself!

smoother and sweeter than most other olibanums, this is beautiful and can be used at quite high concentrations.

This is a great Robertet product that can be used to create a bridge between woody and resinous facets of a fragrance. Highly recommended.
