To my nose it has a similar smell to a good Opoponax. Resinous slightly sweet and slightly herbal. Works great with other resinous/woody materials as well. 1 – 5% in a composition.

I’m absolutely in love with this one. It has a balsamic freshness that recalls good lavender and opoponax oils. Light but with a nice body, and oh… so beautiful.

Together with Germacrene (ca: 25%, 1:1) it constitutes the floral heart of white flowers like Ylang, Jasmin and even Gardenia. Its effects is most obviously in the scent of the living flowers/head spaces. I would use it exactly this way.

at first smell it is a gentle gin like odor that does not slap you in the face–unique material that is green, balsamic/spicy, and floral, blends well with tuberose, bergamot, and white flowers.
