This creation of Givaudan has low odor threshold, this makes it easily noticeable and powerful, has the warmth of sandalwood ideal to make oriental perfume of warm base very diffusive!!

It’s wet sandalwood. Warm and humid. Warm and wet. Stable, long lasting material. Very close to the smell of natural sandalwood, but much more stable in composition. I had to dilute to 5%, which would be to feel those nuances, which in the odor description of the manufacturer. Put it on my hand. Survived after washing, and hand cream. I hope Javanol it’s not forever.

Christine was kind enough to include a sample of Javanol in a recent order. I can say this is a material with one of the strongest, most visceral reactions I’ve ever had to a single aromachemical. An intensely strong and projective sandalwood, my impression for the first 4 hours on skin was actually a cannon of rose aimed straight at my head. The rose nuance is clean, soap-like in the best sense, and heavenly. The smell sensation is substantive. Not creamy, to my nose, like Ebanol, but still quite full-bodied. Basically, I feel like it is a “must” for each perfumer to have this in their organ.

This is a very strong material, its a great sandalwood replacer, soapy, powdery, it can replace the natural from Mysore in some compositions, beautiful!!

Amazing! I’ve already ordered more of this one because there are so many things I want to do with it. I tried experimenting with a couple of sandalwood chemicals and this was by far the house favorite. A few may not be allowed back in, but hey, I’m still learning 😆
