It takes me a long time to realize that this literally powder like smelling material is a musk. No other aroma chemical compares to its explosive diffusing powerful yet discreet delicate fragrance properties. To see this more and more regarded as „old fashioned“ and out faded for its allegedly harmful and environmental toxic properties makes me cry and is definitely not what it deserves. It lasts for years. Even traces giving fragrances a very nice perfumistic aura that is detectable after few meters behind a perfumed subject first.

Very long lasting, this nitromusk bring an “old fashion” touch to perfumes such as Chanel N°5.

I received this sample of musk ketone diluting it was quite an ordeal, but I fell in love with it. I’m going to order some to use as a fixative for my perfumes.
