An interesting reconstitution of several facets of Sandalwood, quite typical of some oils which I have for comparison.
I wonder if this base also contains Amyris acetate, another Synarome product ?
Anyway, Mysoral absolutely cannot compete with natural Sandalwood oil in terms of longevity

This is a wonderful product that I assume could work extremely well as an extender of the natural material. Myoral is a masterly balanced composition that almost replicates the scent of the natural oil. I can’t wait to try it with Firsantol and perhaps also Brahmanol. Two of the most natural smelling sandalwood molecules, that could give not only natural radiance and lift to Mysoral but also longevity.

Mysoral Base from Synarome is by far the most balsamic sandalwood aroma chemical I have come across of the ten I have worked with so far. It has the heavy oily quality of a benzoate and functions as a fixative very similarly. It is a complete base not a complete sandalwood note. It has all the underlying transparent and long lasting oily qualities that a sandalwood benzoate would create in a formula if such a thing existed. It is deceptively powerful since it has no terpenic or spicy qualities. On it’s own is is a flat beige smell almost akin to a fresh car leather smell. Mysoral would also work nicely as the fixative for a lotion or cocoa butter accord. It covers very particular facets of the sandalwood scent profile but will likely not smell like sandalwood on its own to many. It is a tiny but very crucial part of the puzzle that is creating a sophisticated and unique sandalwood aroma.
