This is really quite exceptional! I’ve started using this recently, and you can pull shiso oil In so many different directions. It’s fresh, and green but Has an underlying very slight lemony quality, and a unique clean vegetal note. That I find addictive! On the dry down I’m reminded of fresh verbena (not lemon verbena). This has been a delight to work with. You can really pull this in so many different directions the possibilities are numerous. If you are looking for a unique green note that’s fresh but has depth and dimension… this is it!!!

This material is truly fantastic! A note of tea and in general a very powerful and diffusive green scent which enriches all fragrances with herbaceous, citrus and even floral characteristics.

If it weren’t for the price, I’d be using this all the time. It’s so modern and beautiful. I find it hard to know how much is too much and how little is too little. So my advice is definitely get more than you think, as you’ll want to experiment with it in a lot blends. It’s fun.

It smells very unusual, but great. I’l try to use that in some floral, gourmand and green accords. Like it!

Unique vegetal tea fresh earthy spicy green strong. Long lasting rich natural oil. Its very well balanced just like patchouli and vetiver are. Its a ready perfume for those who may like this kind of smell. However its IFRA restricted to just around 0.54%. A little bit addictive. Even a gourmand facet could be uncovered with a little bit of work. But also its quite a polarizing smell. Its also quite expensive, but you don’t need much. Its strength and uniqueness makeup for its price. Apart from the usual descriptions, i also see its almost-smelly facet as useful in animalic kindof odors. Similarly useful in musk blends and i see a soft sweetness in the late drydown. Other than that its easy to see its use in tea accords and in florals. Also use these vegetal earthy green tones to support and enhance moss accords. There is a herbal spicy quality but i can see this linking to the earthy blends. Although its dominantly green, but to me there is kind of a decaying-veggies and smoothie-like nuance which extends to a dusty-earthy-soil vibe. This can be really useful in those kinds of perfumes and blends of geosmin terrasol patchoulis and oakmoss. it may also enhance some ancient feel or give other realistic natural effects.
