This is a fascinating ingredient. It’s an orange aroma that is very bright, sharp, green, and a tiny bit herbal/spicy. This would be perfect for toning down the sweetness of an orange accord. I’m excited to try this out in an orange/cinnamon/spice fragrance I’m working on. Very unique, very beautiful.

It’s frustrating to me how overlooked this aldehyde is. It’s relatively stable (very stable as far as aldehydes go) and makes a stunning addition to citrus compositions. If you’re doing a freshie and reaching for aldehyde C10/C11, reach for this instead!
