Vanilla Absolute (Biolandes)
$25.00 – $495.00
CAS# 8024-06-4
Note – This material is a reddish brown paste. Warm up to homogenize before use.
Odor Description – Rich, sweet, vanilla, rum, toffee aroma. Vanilla absolute is the most concentrated form of vanilla. It is often used in perfumes and other aroma-based products. Because it’s so expensive, it is used in very high-end products in small quantities, often mixed with other fragrances in perfumes, however, a little goes a long way. If you are making perfumes, soaps or candles and you don’t want the cloying aroma of imitation vanilla, it’s worth investing in vanilla absolute. Technical Data Sheet below.

I am so happy this is carried by PSH! Vanilla absolute has become so hard to find… I was pleased by how potent and true this one was – beautiful pure concentrated vanilla bean. It’s a stunning absolute that is very true to the dark Madagascar bean and I have been able to stretch a little of it a long way which was a really pleasant surprise. This really is wonderful top quality absolute. A big thanks to you guys at PSH – this is my favourite place to buy from!

Having only smelled vanillic molecules and Vanilla CO2, it took me a while to pony up to the absolute, and I am so glad I did. This vanilla absolute is full bodied, rich, and dense. Totally worth it!
Kirrin –
A wonderful rich and boozy vanilla that has none of the rubbery notes found in other absolutes or cheaper oleoresins. Color is a bit of a challenge to work with but can blend with other vanillic notes in perfume compositions.

This is a very high quality vanilla absolute. It is deep, complex and not sweet. There are not off odors at all and the price is quite reasonable.

A vanilla I can actually use…. Blends very well with everything!!!
Pro_Fumum –
An outstanding product. I often use it in trace amounts to naturalize vanillin/ethyl vanillin. Always a pleasure to shop at PSH.
SoulVerve –
Very high quality Vanilla Absolute. Recently used it in remake of the female fragrance Spiritueuse Double Vanille Guerlain where it turned out beautifully. Not too sweet just right. I always feel it’s worth the money for the real vanilla in perfumes and fragrances. For me, it gives fragrances amore authenticity and complexity. Love it with other vanillic materials like Tonka Bean, Ultravanil (also sold here), and Peru Balsam Resin.

This Christmas, for my 50-ish year old niece, Missy, I created an ounce spray perfume consisting of a 2ml Sandalwood/Frankincense/Cinnamon blend, not quite 2ml 50% dilution of your Vanilla Absolute, 5 drops of a Rose/Jasmine/Ylang blend with a top note of 1.5ml Lime EO in perfumer’s alcohol. She remarked it’s the best Vanilla perfume I’ve ever given her. Thankyou Christine and Merry Christmas.
