This Vetiver is great! I have incorporated it into a vetiver based perfume and the result is incredibly good. It has all the facets of pure Haitian vetiver, but acquires freshness and cleanliness. It’s perfect in overdose but also in trace amounts when a note of vetiver is required.

This is Haitian Vetiver perfected, all the goodness of vetiver from Haiti is there, but they’ve removed all the funky top/mid notes that stick out

Oh WOW! As others have said, this is almost assuredly most user-friendly vetiver I’ve ever experienced. Strongly recommended. A legit single-component perfume at 2w%. As already written, no off-putting twangs. Thank you, Haiti, Christine, and Firmenich.

    5/5 — The Vetiver Benchmark

If you’ve been searching for a vetiver that delivers the full spectrum — earthy, rooty, smoky, and woody — without the harsh, muddy heaviness that plagues lesser versions, look no further. Firmenich’s 991252 SFE extraction from Haitian roots is simply the finest vetiver I’ve encountered in my work as an independent perfumer.

What sets this apart is the cleanliness. The earthy and rooty character is present and unmistakable, but it reads as precious and refined rather than raw or agricultural. The smoky facet adds depth without dominating, and there’s a subtle nutty warmth underneath that gives the drydown remarkable complexity. It performs exactly as a working perfumer needs — predictable, consistent, and true.

Haitian vetiver is widely regarded as the gold standard origin for fine fragrance applications, and PSH’s sourcing of the Firmenich SFE version means you’re getting the best possible expression of that terroir through one of the industry’s most respected extraction processes.

Whether anchoring a fougère base, grounding an oriental, or adding earthy complexity to a masculine aromatic, this vetiver earns its place in every serious formula. An essential acquisition for any perfumer’s library.
