To my nose Zeppin is more detectable than Splendione, which I can barely smell on its own. On the strip it’s a fairly bright, transparent and completely ethereal jasmine breeze with some sparkling citrus to it. The overall impression has to me some resemblance to Methyl Dihydrojasmonate (especially the high cis versions). But as with Splendione, the true value maybe experienced only if it’s put in a blend where it contributes (white-floral) diffusion, radiance and some fixation. (A simple experiement to observe the ‘effect’ of Zeppin and other Methyljasmonates: just combine Ylang Ylang (extra) essential oil with some Methyljasmonate!)

Zeppin is a wonderful addition to a floral composition, especially white florals. It comes across as light and airy, and is a fantastic booster for hedione. I’ll definitely be ordering more.
