to me smells like smoking ham out of a bbq. the reference and connotation of the smells is so vivid i cant use it in perfumery. thats just me. however for a good incense smoky touch, i highly recommend Bois D Encens, yea its right in this website :).

Oh man, this is a gorgeous material. It smells exactly like how clothes smell after being around a campfire for hours. It’s a campfire accord in and of itself.

The second rectification makes this a deeper and more intense birch tar with a longer lasting profile than the more common single rectified oil. I highly recommend it. It works very well blended with single rectified oil or standalone.

Smoke. And lots of it! I ordered a handful of other items along with this one and was terrified of a shipping mishap when I opened the box. Cracking open the tape on the box yielded an immediate whiff of something burning. I inspected everything and found nothing had been damaged. Thenodor of the smoke was so potent it was simply permeating everything in the box. Mind you, it was sealed, and the bottle is glass. It’s powerful. You might want to store it in an additional bottle or tin upon receipt.
That being said, I think this 25g bottle will last a lifetime. I’ve diluted it by a LOT, and it still shines through clearly with changing nuances the more dilute it gets. To my nose, it will go from smoke to savory, almost salty, and warm based on the dilution. I can see many a gourmand possibilities with this, as well as atmospheric niche blends.

Super Strong. This is the scent I have been looking for all my life. I dilute this to about 1%, and maybe 0.1% soon so that I can use it in my leather/tobacco accords. highly recommend if you like very sweet smokey woody aromas.
