Tomato Natural
$8.50 – $115.00
CAS#Mixture
Odor -Intensely green, fresh, outdoorsy note with an earthy, spicy sweetness. Very similar to Geranium making it an excellent addition to any floral fragrance. Blends well with Citrus, Moss and Herbaceous notes.
According to boisdejasmine.com, Tomato Natural “one of the most remarkable notes in perfumery, in my opinion, due to its unexpectedness and its complete lack of gender reference.”

Natural perfumer’s helper- I dreamed about this material a decade ago when struggling to find materials to make a many more visual accords but no longer. This material is wonderfully versatile for the creative perfumer. Stems, leafs and summer day olfactory nuances which lacked before are brought to life. 🙂

Robertet does it (yet) again. This is totally awesome. It is not the bitterness of tomato leaf (as I had hoped); it is more the rich and sweet green of sun-kissed vine-ripened tomatoes without coming across as being a vegetable note. Beware, this is quite viscous – not as viscous as something like vetiver (which incidentally it pairs well with) – so be patient. This is wonderful with grapefruit and bergamot.

The description is on the ball! Very tomato leaf. Beautifully scented and can’t wait to work with it in a future blend. Smelling my first bottle and my mind traveled to a memory I had picking tomatoes in my parents back yard garden. A must buy and will get a larger bottle next time.

Robertet’s Tomato Natural is a true-to-life reproduction of tomato leaf/stem and a great way to tone down an overly-sweet blend.

Christine provided a sample of this and it turned out to be one of my favorites! Perfectly captures the smell of a tomato leaf that you’ve crushed in to it hand.
