Together with Bois d’Encens, this is the product that gave me the first peek into the fascinating high tech naturals that Robertet offers. The cedar wood co-extraction gives fascinating depth and complexity to the pine resinoid. I’m clueless as to the chemistry level impact of co-extraction (as opposed to, say, just combining products extracted separately.) But the result smells fascinating: the cozy, powdery facets of cedar round out the high pitched top notes that I associate with pine, while its dry facets provide an elegant counterpoint to pine’s sweetness as we move through the further stages of evaporation. If you haven’t yet, this is a must try.

Really nice material to play with. Having great results adding it in small amounts to Chypre accords. Works very well with animalics and musks. Careful dosage required, this stuff can take over a blend rather quickly.

This is a really lovely and complex woody scent. It reminds me somewhat of Alaskan Cypress in that it’s deep, very damp and earthy smelling, and the faintest bit smoky (sort of like a peat smoke, reminds me a bit of a very peaty scotch). The dry-down is beautiful too. In the end I smell something almost of unwashed hair and damp soil. I feel like this has tons of possibilities. I actually would wear it on its own!

It smells like the trunk of very old pines. Cold morning and heavy air in the pine forest. The smell of nature. Peace and serenity. Very long and powerful.

Very popular and handy for forest & forest fantasy fantasy fragrances. I have been smelling this in many perfumes and shampoos lately. I like using it in small amounts to give longevity and body used in very small amounts to home fragrance forest blends.

This is Cedar on crack…. it has so much body, texture, richness, balance… using this material feels almost like cheating. A product of incredible beauty. Buy this.

Another masterpiece by Robertet. Hints of coniferous woods, slightly smoky but fresh and balsamic. A must have.

A perfume on its own. But deceptive little thing. Acts like a medium strength material, but can easily overpower the blend. Fantastic stuff.

Very interesting material, worth of trying.

This is a beautifully complex aroma that takes me to a green forest with distinct pine note that is like nothing I’ve ever smelled. Clean and crisp, with Cedarwood complementing the pine to create an extraordinary material. It makes me think of Alaska for some reason. Highly recommend.
