Cannot recommend this one if you are looking for for clean musky note. Mostly hay-like and barely distinguishable as musky. Lacks any sweetness and some what oily. Very reminiscent of carrot seed.

A treasured material. Lending an elegance and beauty to countless perfumes. This particular ambrette seed is fine, displaying the trademark notes that are fruity, musky, rich but smooth & delicate with wine. I truly cannot do without a fine musk ambrette or it’s elevating properties and many usages in accords I make. Thank you for carrying this.

This material is fantastic!
Robertet never disappoints and this absolute of Ambretta seeds is extremely elegant and unique. I’m glad Christine has it.

This ingredient is must buy for anyone who is just starting learning perfumery. No one word will describe the beauty of this absolute and it’s really hard to find something to replace it.

I’m disappointed to see a one star review of this material. This has an absolutely magical synergy with Cistus EO and Cistulate. It’s clean, nutty, and extremely potent. Traces will do, though you’ll be tempted to use it in larger quantities to start 🙂 Another winner from PSH!

This is an ambrette seed like no other. It is truly a warm, sensual musk and used in small quantities, impacts a blend without shouting down everything else. Not oily or overpowering, it lends an elegant “je ne sais pas” to a perfume. Thank you for carrying this and so many Robertet beauties Christine!

Dirty and nutty, becoming muskier as it dries down. This is my first time smelling ambrette, and I find it slightly unpalatable, which I think is just ambrette’s natural character. And that does even out during the drydown, as it leans into its cleaner side. While not my most exciting discovery, it will surely prove versatile.
